Twill Runnage was created out of a desire to advise the young men and women of the world who feel like they have no purpose or destiny in living the lives they were given. I feel like everyone on this planet had or has or will have a destiny to fulfill whether they are from the rice paddies of Asia, the Serengeti of Africa, the Siberian mountains, the Mongolian desert, or plain old New York City.

You follow my meaning when I say we all are related and we all have thousands of tiny interconnections to thousands of people we might never meet. Our lives are like an elegantly woven tapestry where each of our lives intersect with those around us. Each of our decisions affect the lives of those around us whether we realize it or not and those lives affect the lives of those around them, etc. etc. etc… ad infinitum.

We live our lives day to day in some sort of routine that we feel comfortable repeating over and over again. Why? We live this way because that is the way we feel secure about our surroundings. It is human nature to want to feel secure in a hostile world, a world fallen from grace that was once designed and spoken into existence by our Creator God, Jehovah, the one true Living God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.

Our world, planet Earth, was not created to be a fallen world but rather to be a paradise for Adam’s descendants to care for it with all the creatures it calls forth in life.

Well, we have certainly mucked it up over the past five thousand years or so,(speaking in God’s time not mine; for God is timeless and time is relative to the context in which it is used). For example, if God can put flesh back onto dry bones in less time it takes for me to write this sentence then worrying about the age of the planet seems silly especially if God can do whatever He wants whenever He wants and that concept makes our science of carbon dating not at all accurate. In fact God shows us how primitive our science is when we come to realize that God is infinite and cannot be conceptualized in human thought.

Yes you heard me correctly, I am proposing that the reality we define ourselves in is constructed by our collective minds through a framework of interconnected experiences since the Fall of Adam and Eve. That means that from God’s perspective we humans living on planet Earth do not perceive reality the Way God intended us to perceive it. We have created our own reality in the physical realm that has been separated from the spiritual realm of God’s mind and purpose.

This means that our perception of time and space is an artificial man-made reality. Measuring the age of rocks through carbon dating is an artificial man-made measurement as are all our laws of physics as we know and understand them.

Since the Fall of Adam, we as a species have tried to understand our hostile environment with all of its life-threatening dangers through the eyes of the physical world. This ability to perceive the physical reality around us in a commonly understood visual landscape allowed us to survive the Fall.

Shared family experiences in the beginning brought comfort and security and happiness to human life just as it did for the flora and fauna who were also thrust into this dangerous adventure for no fault of their own.

As scripture says –

¹⁹ For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God; ²⁰ for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope ²¹ that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. ²² We know that the whole creation has been groaning in labor pains until now; ²³ and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

So what does this all have to do with Twill Runnage, the author of Joe Bell? Who is Twill Runnage anyway to have the audacious attitude of trying to figure out how to communicate his message to the world?

Well, I am just a man who loves the world. I am a follower of Jesus.

I want to impart what I consider and declare to be the righteous path for anyone that wants to listen to my stories. I want to give young and old alike a lighted footpath so that their journey through this dangerous place can be full of joy, happiness, and love along with all the other unpleasantness that awaits us on our adventures.
